Northeast skiers need to get strategic to extend their season into April and beyond.
April in the northeast marks the beginning of the end of the season for resort skiing. While there’s often plenty of snow left on trails mountains are closing due to lease restrictions on state owned land or due to operational challenges.
As spring sports begin, much of the family base of skiers moves on and so does seasonal mountain staff.
Pond Skims, Cardboard Sled Races and Concerts are marking the last hurrah at many favorite destinations.
